DARDICK/TROUND

Dardick / Tround focuses on the unconventional triangular cartridge system developed by David Dardick in the mid twentieth century. The Dardick system departed from conventional cylindrical cases by using the open sided “tround,” intended to feed through specially designed firearms and machine guns. Although never widely adopted, it represents one of the more ambitious attempts to rethink cartridge geometry, materials, and feeding mechanisms.

This category includes complete trounds, plastic and aluminum cases, ceramic and metal projectiles, dummy and sectioned examples, machine gun variants, experimental loads, and related components across several calibers. Variations in color, construction, and internal design reflect different development phases and proposed applications, from small arms to high velocity concepts. For collectors and researchers, Dardick material is significant precisely because of its limited production and experimental nature, offering a concentrated view into a distinct technological path that exists outside mainstream ammunition evolution.
