EOD SPECIAL USE

EOD Special Use covers ammunition and devices developed specifically for explosive ordnance disposal, breaching, and controlled disruption tasks. These items were designed to deliver focused mechanical force, high velocity impact, or specialized blank propulsion in order to neutralize, disrupt, or render safe hazardous devices rather than to function as conventional weapons.

This category includes disruptor rounds, enhanced and ultra velocity blanks, pan disruptors, frangible and disintegrating projectiles, electric and percussion initiated cartridges, and associated training, dummy, and cutaway examples. Most examples are 12 gauge or medium caliber systems, often clearly labeled with model numbers, color coding, and lot information reflecting strict operational control. For collectors and researchers, EOD material documents a highly specialized branch of ammunition development, where design priorities, materials, and documentation differ sharply from military or sporting cartridges and where production runs were often limited and purpose driven.
